What began as building fast, dependable websites has evolved into a focused CRO partnership, helping the brands we work with turn their traffic into lasting revenue.
Our story began in 2011 when we set up Nordic Creative Ltd, a small web development agency. From the start we worked with a mix of clients, from local entrepreneurs to FTSE 250 companies, and we built a reputation for creating lightweight, reliable WordPress websites and offering honest, straightforward support.
As our clients grew, they asked us for more. Hosting, speed optimisation and ongoing care quickly became just as important as the websites themselves. To meet that need we created LightningSite in 2024, a managed hosting business that was shaped by what our clients told us they needed most.
Our background with WordPress and WooCommerce meant we could go further. By combining technical improvements with small but meaningful changes to user experience, we helped shops sell more and keep customers happier. That was the turning point when we realised our work was about growth, not just hosting, and it set us on the path to where we are today.
In practice, LightningSite had become much more than a hosting company. We were working alongside our clients to improve sales and site performance, which is what true conversion rate optimisation is all about. In 2025 we embraced that fully and rebranded as StrategyFive, bringing everything we had learned from Nordic Creative and LightningSite into a focused CRO agency.
Today we continue to use the LightningSite model of technical improvements and UX design, but we’ve added structured A/B testing and experimentation to give WooCommerce brands measurable, lasting growth. Our mission is simple: to help ambitious online shops get more from the traffic they already have.
And the name? As we explored different ways of shaping the business, we sketched out a handful of possible strategies. The fifth was the one that clicked, and that’s the one we chose. StrategyFive is a small nod to testing, learning and picking the best option.
We remain a small, close-knit team and that’s how we plan to stay. We believe in real relationships, clear communication and a model that ties our success directly to yours.
