How conversion rate optimisation support works

What this service is

This is Development pathway support for conversion rate optimisation. It combines CRO expertise with WooCommerce development, delivered within a monthly time budget.

How we choose priorities

You choose priorities. We help you sort them by expected impact, technical risk, and delivery effort. The goal is steady progress without breaking core trading flows.

How we ship changes safely

  • Staging first for meaningful changes
  • Controlled releases within an agreed window
  • Rollback readiness for higher risk changes
  • Post release checks for tracking, performance, and checkout flows
  • Monitoring and error logging to reduce incidents and shorten response time
  • WooCommerce best practice development patterns: use hooks where possible, keep template overrides minimal, and never modify core plugin files

How we measure

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the source of truth for performance validation. We use agreed KPI definitions and baseline rules.

  • Revenue per visitor is net revenue divided by sessions, measured in GA4
  • Conversion rate is measured in GA4 using the agreed primary conversion event
  • Baseline is agreed at onboarding. Default is year on year comparison. Where year on year is not viable, a pegged baseline is agreed and logged

How time budgets work

Development is a monthly retainer. Billing is monthly in arrears and time is tracked in 30 minute increments, including meetings, planning, and reporting.

  • Unused time can roll over into the next month only
  • Time can be borrowed forward by up to one month by agreement
  • On termination, unused hours are refunded
  • Overage work requires written approval and is billed at £75 per hour plus VAT
